Great itelian restaurant especially if you a bit tired from the sushi, tempura or ramen) Very good pasta and great wine. A bit overpriced but it's a very good place for some special event

It was amazing, as always. The restaurant has atmosphere and character. The food you cannot go wrong with anything. Nice gestures to make you feel comfortable and welcome. It's a place a like going back to.

Exquisite Italian cuisine with fantastic service. A tradition of Italian food experience in Tokyo. Suggestion: talk to the staff when ordering, ask for recommendations and do not be afraid to ask for ad-hoc changes. A well deserved 5 stars.

Expensive basic Italian food. But if you are looking to get away from the Japanese menu it's a good choice.

Elio is a legendary place in Tokyo.Ambassadors and famous people go there as well as ordinary people. It’s good but it has been the same menu since I don’t know how long time ago. Last time I went there I felt like I was in a time machine back in the 90s as it was more or less prepared as when I went there the first time. I believe that food is evolution in taste also for traditional Italian food. I believe that the place has so much more potential.Anyway everybody should go there and try once and have their opinion about it. Be ready to spend some good money as it’s not cheap.

What an incredible owner and host Elio is. A man of wonderful down to earth values is translated into authentic and wholesome Italian food, and an experience that would be difficult to replicate anywhere in the world. A presto Elio!

Best Italian food in Japan - no doubts. Elio sources all of his own ingredients directly from organic and best quality suppliers - from making his own bread, direct sourcing of fish from fishing boats, making his own superb cheeses (and salamis) in Hokkaido through to pasta and all vegetables. Working with the very best ingredients, the kitchen adds its magic to, simply, produce the best Italian foodAfter more than 20 years - the food just gets better and better. If you like Italian - you will love Elio

Very good place to eat Italian food in Tokyo. It was delicious, but you have to put the price with it. Good atmosphere, nice service. Highly recommend.

A bit pricy comparing to nearby restaurants but the food & service are totally worth it. The bread is amazing, not to mention the pastas. And also the authentic service from real Italian guys:)

A taste of Calabria in the Heart of Tokyo! Friendly staff catering to our every culinary need. Be sure to save a smidge of room for the decadent dessert cart at the end!

I felt like we found a gem when we first entered the restaurant. The atmosphere, the service, and the food were great until they asked us to move to another table in the middle of our corse meal so that they could use our table to seat a bigger group. Who would interrupt such a special dining experience like that? For that reason, I’m giving 3 star to this place.

Great Italian restaurant in Hanzomon area. The restaurant's owner would be an Italian and the food was very good. This place is good for dates, business dinners and special events.

I’ve been to Elio more than 5 times for dinner and every single time, it has been fantastic! Menu changes regularly and the dishes are seasonal. I always ask them to serve me what is fresh and flavorful and they just come with whatever the kitchen does best. Service is professional and warm, just like in Italy.

Great service and delicious food. The ambiance was very pleasant.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Service very quick and food excellent. Wonderful array of desserts despite them not being on the menu. We tried a somewhat trendy offering near to Elio when they were fully booked one night. My spouse's meal was reasonable, my free range chicken was more like the native hen of the old joke where you boil it with an old boot for several hours take out the chicken then eat the boot. Our luck with restaurants near Hanzomon station have been a bit hit and miss. Elio however was a hit so we are back there tonight. Life is too short to eat lousy food.

Fabulous Italian food. Excellent service. Expensive, but worth the price. Highly recommended.

An incredible dining experience.

Amazing food, lovely atmosphere and they were eager to accommodate dietary restrictions in spite of not being informed beforehand. Went for lunch— note that if you make a reservation you have to order the more expensive 2500 yen course. Worth it though! A plus for great coffee and free bread refills (but please don’t take away the basket until it’s empty— it’s sad to waste great bread).

Great food and service.

One of the top Italian places in Tokyo. Amazing how many servers are constantly scampering around catering to customers-- excellent. The food is really top notch which includes traditional pasta and great home made sausage. This is why the best Italian food outside of Italy is here in Tokyo...
Tokyo Dane
Absolutely great atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious meals. Pretty sure I will become a regular at Elio 🇮🇹

Excellent Italian restaurant with good service and great food. Menus in Italian and Japanese, but waiters seem to all speak English too. Packed at lunchtime with reservations highly recommended. If you don't have a reservation be prepared to wait for at least 30 minutes.
Blanka Kobayashi
This is our favorite Italian in Tokyo. They take very special care about the ingredients, produce their own cheese and salamis, beyond organic standards. The food is delicious and you get spoiled by love and attention. The owner, Elio, comes to table to discuss and shower you with care. You really do feel like at home here.

It gets great reviews but we were really disappointed. Had the chef's risotto. Presentation was really poor and the texture wasn't great. Drinks were over-priced for the quality. A beer, gin and tonic and a glass of red wine.Main Italian chef was attentive and informed. But otherwise we felt there were too many waiters swarming around us. Kept on trying to give us more bread (which you pay for). We were there early and got a table without booking. Quite a small cosy restaurant. Not week signed from the street. It's behind the wooden door.
